Core Concepts
Portfolios, buildings, compliance assets, inspection logs, and how statuses are derived.
Understanding how CompliCore structures your data will help you get the most out of the platform's automation.
Portfolios vs. Buildings
- Portfolio: The top-level container for your entire organization. Your billing, users, and overall CapEx forecasting are scoped at the Portfolio level.
- Buildings: Individual properties within your portfolio. A building acts as a bucket holding its own specific assets, inspection logs, and compliance score.
Assets vs. Logs
- Compliance Asset: A physical piece of regulated equipment (e.g., Boiler #4) or a regulatory standard (e.g., BEPS). Assets are permanent fixtures of a building.
- Inspection Log: A single event in time. When a vendor inspects Boiler #4, you record an Inspection Log. Logs act as the historical paper trail proving the asset is compliant.
The Status Dictionary
Every asset in CompliCore is assigned a real-time status. Here is what they mean:
compliant: The asset is fully up to date. No action required.due_soon: The asset's legal deadline is within the next 60 days. It is time to request quotes.expired: The deadline has passed. The asset is legally non-compliant, but no fines have been explicitly assessed yet.overdue: The asset has lapsed significantly and is actively accumulating fine exposure.pending: A vendor has been dispatched, but the inspection has not yet occurred.quoted: You have received a proposal from a vendor and are reviewing the cost.completed: Used for Logs to indicate the inspection was successfully finished and documented.
