Inspections & Logs
Log completed inspections, attach invoices, and keep an audit trail.
An Inspection Log is the historical record proving that a vendor serviced a compliance asset. Logging inspections is how you keep your portfolio compliant.
Creating a Log (Manual Entry)
To manually log an inspection:
- Navigate to the specific Building and click on the Asset.
- Click Record Inspection.
- Fill out the form with the date the inspection occurred, the vendor who performed the work, and the final cost.
- Upload any related PDFs (like the invoice or the passing certificate).
AI Invoice Parsing (Pro Feature)
If you are on the Pro plan, you can skip manual data entry entirely using AI Invoice Parsing.
- Click Upload Invoice on any asset.
- Drag and drop the PDF invoice you received from your vendor.
- CompliCore's AI will automatically read the document, extract the Vendor Name, Total Cost, and Service Date, and generate the Inspection Log for you.
The Ledger Fields
Every Inspection Log acts as an entry in your financial ledger. The key fields include:
- Estimated Cost: What you budgeted for the inspection.
- Quoted Cost: The price the vendor gave you in their proposal.
- Final Cost: What you actually paid (usually extracted from the invoice).
- Liability Exposure: Any fines incurred because the inspection was performed late.
